LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- Erriyon Knighton, a two-time U.S. Olympic finalist sprinter, has been banned for four years due to an anti-doping rule violation.

Knighton’s suspension was announced on Thursday by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which upheld two appeals against Knighton by the World Anti-Doping Agency and World Athletics.

Knighton, 21, was charged with an anti-doping rule violation by the United States Anti-Doping Agency on May 28, 2024. A doping test for Knighton revealed the presence of epitrenbolone, a metabolite of trenbolone, which is an androgenic and anabolic steroid that is prohibited by WADA.
