LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The Clark County School District clarified its policy on free speech Friday as the community reacted to the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

Following Kirk’s death Wednesday, news quickly spread about individuals who faced consequences for their social media posts.

Locally, a Las Vegas REALTORS board director was removed after making comments about the shooting. Bobby Machado, a radio station employee who posted remarks on social media, was also fired.

Now the Clark County School District is issuing its own guidelines for how it will handle speech among its employees during a politically tumultuous time.
