Calgary Transit has announced a full closure of the Red Line between Chinook and Anderson LRT stations this weekend, impacting service on both Saturday and Sunday.
The shutdown will affect Chinook, Heritage, Southland, and Anderson stations from the beginning of the day Saturday to the end of the day Sunday.
During the closure, Red Line trains travelling from the south will terminate at Anderson Station, while trains from the northwest and downtown will stop at Chinook Station. Shuttle buses will be running between the two stations.
Full service is expected to resume early Monday morning.
Calgary Transit says the closure is necessary to carry out essential maintenance and repair work that cannot be completed while trains are in operation. Projects scheduled for the weekend include roof
