KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - It’s been a year since the voice of 21-year-old Jyliek Harrington was silenced.
His friends and family still search for answers after his tragic death .
“We remember him every day,” West Virginia State Football Head Coach John Pennington said. “The way he carries himself. The way he was contiguous with his energy.”
Former Yellowjacket Jyilek was shot and killed at his apartment complex in the 700 block of Regency Drive in Charleston.
Pennington said Jyilek’s memory weighs heavily on him.
“I thought about him a lot last week,” Pennington said. “There were times I was sad. There were times I was still happy thinking about him.”
