Erika Kirk was scheduled to address the country on Sept. 12, two days after he husband, the conservative commentator, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated on a college campus in Utah.

Kirk, 36, grew up in metro Phoenix and was named Miss Arizona USA in 2012.

The couple met in 2018 and were married in 2021. They have two children, a 3-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy.

Kirk accompanied her husband’s body to a Phoenix mortuary on Sept. 11. She was seen waving to supporters who lined the streets, despite appearing to be weeping.
