It's been a long journey for Woodville native Gabe Luna. But he knew he always wanted to give back to his community and the Central Valley.
Luna did that by leading a study dealing with behavioral and substance abuse issues among local young adolescents, particularly Hispanic adolescents. Luna conducted the study last school year as part of his work studying for his doctorate at USC.
Luna is a doctoral student in USC's Keck School of Medicine's Department of Population and Public Health Science. He's set to earn his doctorate in health behavior research in 2028.
Luna attended Woodville School and is a 2002 Monache graduate. He went on to earn a bachelor's in history from UC Santa Barbara and a master's in public health from the University of Nevada in Reno. He worked in a research lab b
