Gov. Greg Abbott invited lawmakers and members of the public to a ceremonial bill signing press event in McKinney on Friday afternoon.

Three signatures later, the formal presentation of House Bill 4211 was met with cheers from the large crowd, with an increased level of security on hand.

Abbott congratulated state leaders who helped push through the legislation, specifically in response to Epic City.

The governor was joined by Sen. Angela Paxton, Rep. Jeff Leach, Rep. Candy Noble, Rep. Katrina Pierson, Rep. Keresa Richardson, and other state and local leaders.
