SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff's Office has announced the death of a 34-year-old inmate after he allegedly suffered a medical emergency Friday morning.
Around 1:45 a.m., an inmates used his cell intercom to alert deputies that his cellmate, identified as Ryan James Postoak, appeared to be having a seizure.
Upon arrival, BCSO said the responding deputies immediately began performing life-saving measures before medical staff made it to the cell and took over.
Despite efforts by medical staff and first responders, Postoak was pronounced dead at 1:50 a.m.
