ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Le Roy Central School District teacher has been placed on administrative leave after district officials learned of social media posts referencing the killing of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and using disparaging language toward his supporters.

Superintendent Merritt Holly said the district was made aware of the posts late Thursday night. By Friday morning, administrators met with the teacher, who acknowledged the posts, expressed regret, and said the account had already been deleted.

“While we recognize that views differ on Mr. Kirk’s political beliefs and actions, how we publicly express those views and the language we use in doing so is an important lesson for our students and staff,” Holly wrote in a letter to parents. “We cannot condone or justify
