COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) has acquired advanced SONAR equipment thanks to a donation from the Mahogany Boater Education Association Inc. (MBEA).

Officials from the KCSO reported that the equipment, purchased in collaboration with the county, will enhance their ability to locate submerged objects. This will improve their response to critical situations like drownings, missing person cases and recovery operations.

Scott Hislop, an MBEA Board Member, expressed the organization’s dedication to safety.
