NEWBURY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - A man is dead after his motorcycle collided with one in front of him on U.S. Route 302 Friday afternoon.
According to Vermont State Police, a second man, from Maryland, had slowed down as a truck pulled into the P&H Truck Stop on the north side of U.S. 302, just west of Exit 17 off of Interstate 91.
The motorcyclist, whose identity is being withheld until his family has been notified, reportedly crashed into the second motorcycle from behind and was thrown from his bike. He was found unresponsive at around 3:25 p.m. and though responders tried to save his life, he was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
State police are investigating the crash, and say that they do not believe speeding or drug use were factors at this time.
