The bus company taking students to and from schools in New Britain has made improvements to service, according to the superintendent.

A week into the school year, parents in New Britain were frustrated that buses were dropping off students hours late and at wrong schools.

In a letter sent to parents on Sept. 5, Tony Gasper, superintendent of the Consolidated School District of New Britain, said First Student now provides the district with real-time information on buses and routes and support lines that are staffed and better equipped to respond to parents' questions.

The letter also noted that several buses that were late are now arriving closer to their scheduled pick-up times.
