LINDALE, Texas (KLTV) - The Van Vandals traveled down FM 16 to take on their rivals, the Lindale Eagles, on Friday night.
Van got the ball to begin the game and went 65 yards in six plays, with quarterback Rawly Hinch scoring from 1-yard out to put the Vandals up 7-0 with 8:19 left in the first quarter. Lindale answered back on their first drive. The Eagles drove 70 yards in nine plays and found the end zone when quarterback Jackson Legrow hit Kaden Fowler for a 19-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7 with 4:34 remaining in the first quarter.
Following a Van punt, Lindale found the end zone again when David Lindig scored a 19-yard rushing touchdown to put the Eagles ahead with one minute left in the first quarter. The Vandals wasted little time answering back. Hinch and junior Ian Ho
