FONDA — With race cars at Fonda Speedway roaring in the background, the Fonda-Fultonville and Granville/Whitehall football teams put on their own high-octane display Friday night.

The Valley Hawks outlasted Granville/Whitehall, 35-30, in a grinding, physical contest to improve to 2-0 on the season.
