AUSTIN - The Texas Education Agency is launching an investigation into teachers who have allegedly shared "reprehensible and inappropriate content" about the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk .

The investigation comes in the midst of high-profile terminations for comments and online remarks made about the conservative political commentator's death, including one employee of a Texas school.

Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath shared the announcement of the investigation Friday.
