Police have released images of the moment a man broke into his mother’s neighbour’s flat before bashing him to death.
Paul Topham was spotted on CCTV cameras entering the retirement facility where his mother lives, intending to burglarise the apartment of 94-year-old Harold Monk.
After entering Mr Monk’s apartment, Topham was found guilty of savagely beating Mr Monk to death during the robbery.
Topham, 46, was sentenced to serve a minimum term of 33 years at Wolverhampton Crown Court after the murder.
