Chris Bassitt and his home-dominant pitching was back on the mound in Friday night’s series opener against the Baltimore Orioles.

In many ways, the veteran right-hander was in a no-win situation given the events of the previous day when Kevin Gausman spun a magical complete game shutout.

What stood out from Bassitt’s start was how quickly he would get the hook.
