SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Normally held the third Saturday in September, the annual Anniversary 5K Dash in Allen County has been moved up to September 13th.

Registration starts at 7:30 that morning and includes a 5K and a one-mile fun run/walk through the Allen County Schools campuses.

This year, The Core celebrates 25 years, and executive director Ernie Stafford says his favorite part is seeing families come together.

“There’s a lot of families that do this together, and for the last nine years that I’ve been part of this, that’s one thing that I love. I love seeing the community come together, I love to see the family… the challenges that each group does. We actually have a core group here, it’s called… we call it the Couch to 5K, it gets people off the couch to get them out exercising,” he
