The trial of a man accused of murdering a Roseville woman in her apartment nearly three years ago will continue Monday and is expected to conclude Tuesday.

Stephen Freeman, 22, a Lexington, Mich., native, is charged with first-degree murder and other charges in the strangulation death of Gabriele Seitz, 62, in October 2022 in her Utica Road one-bedroom apartment.

The jury trial began Sept. 4 in front of Judge Julie Gatti in Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens. The jury comprises 10 men and four women. Two will be chosen at random to be removed from deliberations.

Freeman allegedly broke into the one-story apartment through a bathroom window the evening of Oct. 26, 2022 and was confronted by Seitz when she arrived home shortly after 7 p.m. from work at National Coney Island. Aut
