The Redwings stopped a Fowlerville 2-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter while picking up a win in their CAAC Red opener. Nolan Koenigsknecht's extra point after Cody Carn's 58-yard touchdown run in the third quarter wound up being the difference for St. Johns (3-0, 1-0). Carn finished with 112 yards on the ground and Landon McCastle had a pair of touchdown runs for the Redwings. Sam Shrader threw for 205 yards and four TDs for Fowlerville (2-1, 0-1).
