Pike Road's (3-1, 2-0) 100th win in school history was in jeopardy in the early going Friday night against Wetumpka (1-3, 0-2), but three saviors emerged under the bright lights of Wetumpka High School for the Patriots, securing the milestone with a 29-6 win.

Senior linebackers Braylon Outlaw and Miles Khatri struck fear into Wetumpka's offense Friday, seemingly popping up everywhere on the field. Tackles for loss, sacks, turnovers and making tackles for short gains in the flats stalled the momentum for Wetumpka, giving Pike Road's offense a fighting chance to redeem itself from a slow start.

That redemption came in the playmaking ability of Omari Smith. Smith finished Friday night with 74 rushing yards, 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
