TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — As the colder months approach, flu season begins, which is why it’s essential to receive influenza vaccinations now.

According to the World Health Organization, approximately one billion cases of influenza are reported annually worldwide.

Health professionals say receiving an influenza vaccine is the best way to protect against the flu. The shot exposes the body’s immune system to a dead version of the virus, and it’s recommended for everyone ages six months and older.
