AVON, Ind. — It was an intense showdown in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference on Friday night, but Class 6A No. 1 Brownsburg held on to defeat ninth-ranked Avon 55-47.
Brownsburg entered the game ranked No. 1 overall in Class 6A while Avon held on to their ranked status despite last week's close loss to Hamilton Southeastern.
The Bulldogs got on the board first after senior running back Aiden Jobe broke free and ran for a 67-yard touchdown to get Brownsburg up 7-0 early after the PAT.
