SEATTLE — Seattle police and the family of a missing 16-year-old from Texas are asking for the public’s help nearly two weeks after he vanished downtown.

Alejandro Paz was last seen over Labor Day weekend after leaving the Hyatt Regency hotel on Howell Street, where he was staying with his fathers and younger sister during the PAX gaming convention. Security footage shows the teen walking north toward Capitol Hill.

Father Tyler James Paz said Alejandro had been upset after losing his convention badge and left the hotel to cool off. He did not take a cell phone, ID or money.

“He’s never been gone more than an hour,” Tyler said. “The fact that it was three days was kind of scary, and now that it’s been almost two weeks it’s even worse.”
