MOUNT DESERT ISLAND -- The MDI Trojans hosted the Lake Region Lakers on Friday night.

MDI opened up the game with possession, but that wouldn't last long, and a fumble on the handoff led to a fumble recovery by Lakers senior linebacker Brayden Webb.

The Lakers would take over on the Trojans side of the field and facing third down, senior quarterback Jaiden Meehan threw a jump ball in the direction of the endzone, but MDI sophomore Asa Joyce played the ball perfectly, knocking it down and the Trojans would force a turnover on downs the following play.

After a long drive down the field, MDI found themselves inside the five-yard line, where junior Lincoln Gray would bounce off several Trojans defenders and fight his way into the endzone for the score.

The Lakers offense remained unfazed
