What are the top 3 things that Yakima Valley residents did when they skipped school in their youth?

That was the topic of discussion for our listening and reading audience recently, and the reaction we got was hysterical and eye-opening. We have quite a few people who played hooky in their younger years. I wish I could say I was one of them.

Growing up, I didn’t play hooky from school. I actually liked school. 99% of my teachers in Naches I loved (that 1 percent not loved was in 2nd grade, but I won’t get into that here).

When I did ‘ skip school ’, I wasn’t playing hooky, I was faking a tummy ache (very hard to disprove) to spend time with my family (and to go buy comic books and cards).
