Bowen Yang says he’s not done with Saturday Night Live yet amid major casting changes.

The 34-year-old comedian recently spoke about his decision to return for season 51 of SNL as many cast members are leaving the long-running comedy show. Bowen told People that he doesn’t feel like it’s his time to leave just yet.

“I’ve always gone by the instinct of, do I have more to do? And I feel like I do,” Bowen explained. He went on to share that SNL ‘s creator Lorne Michaels spoke to him about coming back to season 51.

“ Lorne was like, ‘You have more to do,’ and that means a lot, because I even confessed to him. I was like, ‘I feel the audience is maybe getting sick of me.’ And he was like, ‘That’s not true. There’s more for you to do. I need you,’” Bowen recalled.
