It’s not lost on Ethan Conner that Troy’s offense very much involves tight ends catching the football instead of basically using them as an extra blocker as so many teams do.

Fact is, a Troy tight end has caught a touchdown pass in five of the Trojans' last seven games.

A week ago against Clemson, Conner, a redshirt senior tight end, was targeted five times and caught three passes for a career-high 53 yards – which included hauling in a 24-yard reception.

At times, the Trojans even utilize a three tight end set, which features the versatility of a deep tight end room.

“I’m very excited about the three tight end set,” Conner said. “We love all the tight ends being in there and making big plays. We want to help the offense any way we can.”
