Jaedon Ford's interception midway through the fourth quarter capped a dominant defensive effort for Spencerport, in a 14-7 win over Penfield on Friday.

Penfield was inside the Rangers' 20 and in need of a score to tie the game. But, faced with fourth-and-long, a pass to the sticks was picked off by the Ford, Spencerport's senior defensive back. The Patriots also stalled deep in Spencerport territory on their next possession, ultimately their last of the game.

Spencerport (2-0) held Penfield (0-2) scoreless for the final 3 1/2 quarters of the game, after the Patriots marched down and scored on their opening drive.
