You're on the road, it's a non-league game, and nobody wants to go to overtime or end a game in a tie, so La Quinta head cach Ramon Ruiz had an easy decision to go for two points lat in Friday's game at Hesperia.

The risk paid off. Quarterback Roman Ansley hit Major Hinchen for a 15-yard touchdown pass with 40 seconds to go with the Blackhawks trailing 21-14. Ruiz and La Quinta went for two and the win, and this time Ansley hit Caleb Hartwell in the corner of the end zone for the two-point conversion to give La Quinta the 22-21 lead. The defense held and that became the final score.
