CONSHOHOCKEN — The flashes of white shirts with green and gold trim seemed to be around every corner, in every gap and filling every hole.

Lansdale Catholic’s defense came out intent on creating pressure in Friday’s PCL Blue Division opener. LC created turnovers, pounced on miscues and, aside from a few big plays, had Archbishop Carroll on its heels.

With the defense flying around and the offense efficient, Lansdale Catholic downed the Patriots 28-7 at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium.

“As my coach always says, I just wanted to go in, do my job and execute,” Crusaders defensive tackle Luke Doheny said. “That’s the mentality I had and the mentality my teammates had.”
