Drivers have been issued with an important alert as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) announced "holiday's over". Motorists have been advised that cars must be taxed straight away when they return to the roads.
The DVLA posted a message on social media platform X explaining the rules around vehicle taxation. This announcement was aimed at anyone who had registered their car as off the road - or submitted a SORN application recently.
The DVLA said: "Holiday's over – for your car, that is! If your car's been off the road for a while (SORN), make sure to tax it first before you start using it again."
