PASADENA, Calif. —

The University of New Mexico football team traveled to Pasanda, California and upset the UCLA Bruins 35-10, Friday night Sept. 12.

This was the first power conference win for the team since beating the University of Arizona, on September 2008.

Going into the game, betting experts had UCLA as a 14.5-point favorite against the Lobos. UNM went up 14-0 early in the second quarter before the Bruins scored, going into halftime down 14-7.

The Bruins late in the third quarter would get a field goal to cut the lead 14-10. The Lobos would respond in the fourth quarter scoring 21 unanswered points and would put an exclamation point on it with a touchdown run with 36 seconds left by D.J. McKinney.
