Kelowna Rockets are set to head north this weekend to take part in the WHL Yukon Showcase, where they’ll face the defending WHL champion Medicine Hat Tigers in a two-game series at Takhini Arena in Whitehorse.

The Rockets will serve as the dedicated home team for Game 1 on Friday at 7 p.m. PT, before switching sides for Game 2 on Saturday, at 7 p.m. PT.

The two-game series will decide the first-ever WHL Northern Lights Cup, a newly commissioned trophy designed by Lumel Studios using northern-lights-inspired glasswork. If the series is split, fans will be treated to a sudden-death, three-on-three overtime format that continues until a winner is crowned.
