Tempted staked her claim as Godolphin’s best Everest chance with a commanding win over fellow slot contender Beiwacht and a class field in the group 2 Run To The Rose on Saturday at Rosehill.
A $3.90 Sportsbet equal favourite, the two-time group 2 winner and Golden Slipper placegetter sat midfield in the running line as Beiwacht raced outside leader Raging Force. Godolphin-owned, Chris Waller-trained colt Beiwacht took over at the 200m but Tempted, making her debut for trainer Ciaron Maher and with Ethan Brown aboard, went past at the 150m en route to a one-and-a-half length win. Skyhook was a close third.
