The School District of Lancaster this week issued a statement after a staff member’s social media post drew harsh criticism in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s killing .
“We are aware of the reaction to an online post shared by one of our employees on a personal social media platform. The School District of Lancaster abhors violence of any kind and is committed to schools that are safe, inclusive, and welcoming to all in our community,” the district’s statement said.
The post in question was uploaded by teacher Amanda Dodson on Facebook, according to LancasterOnline .
The post described Kirk as a “racist, xenophobic, transphobic, islamophobic, sexist, white nationalist mouthpiece” who spewed hatred across the nation.
