The St. Tammany Mosquito Abatement District has filed a disciplinary complaint against northshore District Attorney Collin Sims, alleging a conflict of interest stemming from his review of the mosquito district's finances for St. Tammany's DOGE-like transparency committee.
The Aug. 20 complaint addressed to the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board and signed by Vicki Traina-Dorge, who chairs the mosquito district's Board of Commissioners, alleges that Sims, who is the district's legal representative, “spearheaded an adversarial and invasive investigation.” The letter also claims that Sims “repeatedly refused” to recuse himself and was “obstructionist” in the district's efforts to retain another legal representative, according to a copy of the complaint obtained from Mosquito Abatement
