When a heartbroken fifteen-year-old dog was discovered wandering aimlessly through the streets, he was immediately taken to Carson Animal Shelter in Los Angeles, California.

Although he had been removed from the loneliness and hardships of street life, the senior dog appeared utterly dejected when confined to the shelter kennel.

He seemed to have given up entirely. Curling up on the cold floor, he didn’t lift his head. His eyes were filled with despair, and his frail body radiated exhaustion.

Searching For A Way Out Of The Shelter

The staff were astonished when a microchip scan revealed that the dog actually had an owner. He was placed on a stray hold while the shelter processed the information.
