The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for this weekend across Greater Manchester. It comes after a week in which the was hit by thunder and lighting in storms.

Earlier this week, The Met Office warned people to prepare for 17-hours of non-stop rain , with stormy conditions set to continue across the north west.

On Friday morning (September 12), the Met Office extended the warning to most of England and Wales, including a large part of the North West of England.
