Charlie Kirk's widow has broken her silence in the wake of her husband's assassination.

The dad was killed by a single shot in what police said was a targeted attack, while Utah's governor called it a political assassination.

Authorities have said that the man accused of Mr Kirk's assassination had previously expressed to family his opposition to the conservative activist's viewpoints.

On Friday (September 12), Erika Kirk delivered her first public remarks since the shooting - from the office where her late husband hosted his podcast.

She said her 'cries' will 'echo around the world like a battle cry' in a message for 'the evildoers responsible' for her husband's death.

The widow described how he loved America, nature and the Chicago Cubs.
