Older people can benefit from a £5,496 perk from the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) three months before their birthday, they are being reminded.
The over-80 pension hands state pensioners £105 a week - or £5,496 - with older people able to claim from the Labour Party government three months before their 80th birthday.
Over 80 Pension is a regular payment you may be able to get if you are 80 or over and get little or no State Pension. You do not need to have paid National Insurance contributions. You cannot get the over 80 pension if you reached the State Pension on or after 6 April 2016.
