If you are a fan of women’s golf, the stars of tomorrow will be playing just 40 minutes down the QEW in St. Catharines this week.
The World Junior Girls Golf Championship, hosted by Golf Canada, is being played at St. Catharines Golf and Country Club.
“This is definitely an opportunity to see the future stars of the LPGA Tour,” says tournament director Adam Cinel.
“You just have to look at some of the alumni who have played in the past to realize you’re getting a glimpse at some of the up-and-coming female players who will go on to find success on the Epson and LPGA tours.”
The tournament features 23 three-person teams from 22 countries and there will be team and individual competitions running concurrently from Sept. 15 to 20.
