A pattern of intentional attacks on wild donkeys in Riverside County began in June, according to authorities.

At least a half-dozen animals have been wounded by arrows in recent months.

The most recent victim, nicknamed Cupid, had an arrow puncture her lung.

A 2-year-old wild donkey stumbled alongside her herd in Riverside County — a bright blue arrow protruding from her right side.
