There were only a handful of star performers on a day of frustration and errors from the Wallabies, whose fast finish wasn’t enough to catch the Pumas in Sydney .

1. James Slipper – 6

Had some nice touches early in attack and showed his incredible workrate by making it back to save the day with a mark from a Pumas chip kick near the Wallabies line.

2. Billy Pollard – 6

Another solid shift from a quiet achiever in the Wallabies side. Defended well, held the scrum together and was mostly accurate at lineout time. The lost lineout after Tane Edmed’s 50-22 was a missed opportunity, though.

3. Taniela Tupou – 6
