It is only Week 3, but the 2025 college football season has an early contestant for America's darling. That would be the USF Bulls, who are 2-0 after wins over two ranked teams, Boise State and Florida, to open the season.

USF has made some noise climbing the polls and now has its shot at Miami, its toughest test on the schedule. The Bulls are led by head coach Alex Golesh, a confident leader who is rapidly ascending the wish lists of Power Four teams who may have an opening.

Miami is 2-0, and if USF had not made so much noise through just two weeks, the Hurricanes could fall victim to years past in laying an egg, but this year's team feels different with a big Week 1 win over Notre Dame to kick off the season.
