SHERMAN, Maine (WABI) - A man was taken to a hospital after a truck crashed into his horse-drawn wagon Friday morning in Sherman.

It happened just before 8 a.m. on Benedicta Road.

State Police say a truck driven by Lindsay Duffy-Stanley, 42, of Benedicta tried to pass the horse and wagon, but they say she did not have enough room and hit the wagon.

Police say the man driving the wagon was thrown from it and landed on the road.

We’re told he was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Duffy-Stanley was not hurt and was cited for driving to endanger.

State Police say the horse suffered a laceration to its leg and foot.
