BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP The trial of a Masury man charged with aggravated murder and abuse of a corpse for the shooting death of his sister in March has been postponed as his attorney pursues an insanity plea.
Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Sean J. O'Brien granted a defense motion to delay the trial for John Zanolli, 62, who was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Zanolli’s attorney, who has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity, has been granted a motion to have his client undergo a forensic evaluation of his competency to stand trial.
