I’m all for being thrifty around the yard and garden, but saving geraniums over winter isn’t just about getting plants on the cheap. If we save money on geraniums, we can spend more at the local garden center on fruit trees, landscape shrubs and container plants that aren’t as easy to winter as geraniums.

Keeping geraniums from year to year by overwintering them indoors isn’t difficult. Although there are other methods, I’m sharing the way my wife, Mary, and I bring about 100 geraniums indoors each fall and return them back outdoors each May.
