Charlie Kirk’s 3-year-old daughter’s question after his death has everyone in tears: ‘This is so sad’

Erika Kirk broke her silence Friday following the shooting death of her husband, popular conservative activist Charlie Kirk, earlier this week.

The two were married in 2021 and had a daughter in 2022 and a son in May of 2024. And during a speech she gave in a video posted to Charlie’s social media accounts heading into the weekend, Erika relayed a story of her young daughter in the aftermath of the killing that had everyone tearing up.

“I talked to her and she said, ‘I missed you,’ and I said, ‘I missed you too baby,’” Erika said. “She goes, ‘Where’s daddy?’ What do you tell them when they are that old? She’s 3. And I said, ‘Baby, don’t you worry, daddy loves you so much. He’s on a work trip with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget.’”
