A Sprouts Farmers Market is to be added to an existing multitenant commercial development on the northeast corner of Alma School Road and Southern Avenue in Mesa.

The Mesa Design Review Board on Sept. 9 discussed the look and landscaping for the business on 15.8 acres at 1110 W. Southern Ave.

A facade upgrade is planned to accommodate the new Sprouts with a 90,000-square-foot commercial center, Staff Planner Tulili Tuiteleleapaga-Howard said, according to the live Zoom audio of the meeting.

“As you can see, part of the new elevation materials that they are proposing is that the existing red brick is to be painted a moth gray, a new standing seam metal roof, we have a stone veneer system ... and siding, as well as signage that is to be approved under a separate permit,” she said.
